We were required to design, fabricate, finish and install raised decks on secondary metalwork, complete with boundary fencing & bin stores for Park Rise.
Park Rise is a bright new mixed tenure development of affordable, rented, private sale / share equity apartments and family homes nestled on a wooded hillside overlooking High Wycombe. Formerly known as Lance Way, a notorious council estate, the site has been transformed through strong development partnerships, sound community investment and resident engagement.
The development is situated on a steep hillside with poor access. The client was keen to create an outdoor space but the ground was too sheer to produce a normal garden and all products needed to have a long life expectancy. And, in line with the architect’s brief, we were able to provide a design to allow residents to walk out of their rear patio doors onto a raised deck complete with steps down to a lower space.
This was achieved by using galvanised steel framework and composite decking, and included:
